Iâm sorry that I havenât posted anything in a very long time. When I visited the USA I didnât always have wifi, which made it very difficult to post anything. And after that, other things got in the way (the main reason is school of course đ ). But Iâm here with a new book tag! This time the âreread, rewrite or burn book tagâ. I actually donât know who created it, but the credits go to them of course đ
So basically you have a lot of cards with book titles on them. Each round you pick 3 random cards and choose which one you want to reread, rewrite or burn. I think itâs meant to be a ânicerâ version of the f*ck, marry, kill tag. But it contains burning books, which is not really nice and you should never do by the way (Iâm just saying it in case you didnât know đ). Before I forget to say it- this tag might contain spoilers!
So letâs get started!
Round 1:
Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins, the selection by Kiera Cass and A court of mist and fury by Sarah J. Maas.
The problem with this one is that I donât hate one of the books, so Iâm kind of making a proâs and conâs list in my head. I think Iâm going to reread ACOMAF, just because I liked it a 100000 times better than the first book. Now Iâm not sure which one I want to burn. I didnât like the cheating part in the Selection, but I didnât like the rushed ending of Mockingjay either. I think that I would rather rewrite Mockingjay, because I would be able to keep Prim and Finnick alive. One of the main purposes of the selection was that America had to choose between two boys, if there wouldnât be cheating, the book would be over in 5 seconds and there wouldnât be the need for a sequel.
Reread: A court of mist and fury. Rewrite: Mockingjay. Burn: The selection.
Round 2:
Shatter me by Tahereh Mafi, the Darkest minds by Alexandra Bracken and Orgin by Jennifer L. Armentrout.
I absolutely enjoyed all of these, but The darkest minds is one of my all time favourites, so of course Iâm going to reread it. I think Iâm going to rewrite Orgin, because practically half of the world was killed in it. And I donât want to, but sadly have to burn Shatter me đŚ
Round 3:
Lady midnight by Cassandra Clare, Matched by Allie Condie and the evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin.
BURN MATCHED. That was pretty easy. Didnât really enjoy the last part of you couldnât tell. Reread the evolution of Mara Dyer, I loveeeeee this book! Rewrite Lady midnight, the ending shattered my heart it tiny pieces and I think itâs damaged forever.
Round 4:
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare, Allegiant by Veronica Roth and did I mention I love you by Estelle Maskame.
Reread Clockwork Princes, because there is probably still a whole piece of my heart somewhere and it would really like to be shattered in little pieces as well. Rewrite Allegiant, so I could make Tris less annoying. I mean the book basically contains of this:
Everyone: âTris, Donât do itâ
Tris: âHAAHA I DONâT CARE IâM DIVERGENTâ
And later on she does everything she was told not to do. Pretty accurate description of it to me.
And then burn Did I mention I love you? This is not because I didnât enjoy it, but I donât have another choice. Also I noticed the Wattpad vibe, thereâs nothing wrong with that but I just wanted to mention it.
Round 5:
Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets by J.K. Rowling, Lola and the boy next door by Stephanie Perkins and Red queen by Victoria Aveyard.
Iâm going to reread red queen. Rewrite Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets, even though I donât know what I would change…
And last but not least, I would burn Lola and the boy next door. I absolutely loved Anna and the French kiss, literally everything (except the cheating part of course). But I didnât like Lola, this mightâve been because I couldnât relate to her at all. I did like the writing, it was like Anna and the French kiss, written in a very cute way.
This was the tag guys! I hope you liked reading it and Iâll see you next time! (I really donât know how to end a post if you havenât noticed already).
